Wohoo, Kungfu panda is coming already !! We have heard a lot of hype about it. And we have Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu dubbing for the movie.

Released in North America on Jun 6, Kungfu Panda now can be watched on YOUKU.com, without subtitles. See, the bulky panda on the cover is really alive and kicking, right, he knows martial arts (Kungfu).

He is called Po, who loves kungfu and always dreams of being a hero with matchless kungfu. However his father (a goose) wants him to inherit his family noodle business. So one day he earmarked himself as the dragon warrior whose mission is to protect the hometown from the evil Leopard, Tai Lung. Convinced by the master’s master Wu Gui, master Shi fu no longer doubts Po, instead he finds great potentials in him and teachs him Kungfu with bread as treat, which is a great incentive to him. And it turns out that it works !  Now he is among his idols — Tigeress, Viper, Monkey, Crane and Mantis.

With exellent Kungfu, Po then struts his stuff and defeats Tai Lung, making him a real dragon warrior.

Without very complicated plot, the story is quite easy to undersand. Well, a bulky panda becomes a savior, sounds kind of absurd. However it just mirrors the heroism deep down in American.

Panda, Chinese national treasure, now has been on screen as a cartoon image. It reminds me of a photo earlier last year, ” a panda climbing on the empire state building” which was entitled ” American’s fear of China”.  Interesting !!

Sitting is an art that isn’t getting passed along. People these days feel as though they have to be doing something. If they are not working, they are jogging, or playing tennis or golf,or taking courses to improve their minds or bodies-or they are parked in front of TV .Sitting in front of the TV  isn’t sitting- it’s watching.

 People used to sit a whole lot. You would walk down the street or drive down the road ,and there they would be out on the doorsteps,sitting. You could go down to the store and sit on the bench out front in the summer or around the fire in the winter.There were sitting benches out in the town square.At the garage,there were sraight-backed chairs.There among the oilcans and tires and spare parts,you could kick back and sit.

 Houses used to have sitting rooms,wher the grow-ups would go after Sunday dinner.Mon and Dad ,Grandpa and Aunt Ruby would sit and digest the fried chicken and talk about Aunt Ethel’s illness, and how well the minister did today. Outside, the childen would play,and the afternoon would pass by in a comfortable haze.

 That sort of thing looks like doing nothing.A recharging battery doesn’t looks as if it’s doing anything either.Sitting restores your soul.If you want to enjoy a truly life,don’t just do something-sit there.

In our life,we have rarely expressed our gratitude to the one who’d lived those years with us.In fact,we do not have to wait for anniversaries to thank the ones closest to us–the ones so easily overlooked.If I have learned anything about giving thanks,it is this:give it now!While your feeling of appreciation is alive and sincere,act on it.Saying thanks is such an easy way to add to the world’s happiness.

Saying thanks not only brightens someone else’s world,it brightens yours.If you are feeling left out,unloved or unappreciated,try reaching out to others.It maybe just the medicine you need.

Of course,there are times when you cannot express gratitude immediately..In that case,don’t let embarrassment sink you into silence-speak up the first time you have the chance.

Once a young minister,Mark Brian,was sent to a remote parish of Kwakiutl Indians in British Columbia.The indians,he had been told,did not have a word for thank you.But Brian soon found that these people had exceptional generosity.Instead of saying thanks,it is their custom to return every favor with a favor of their own,and every kindness with an equal or superior kindness.They do their thanks.

I wonder if we had no words in our vocabulary for thank you,would we do a better job of communicating our gratitude?Would we be more responsive,more sensitive,more caring?

Thankfulness sets in motion a chain reaction that transforms people all around us–including ourselves.For no one ever misunderstands the melody of a grateful heart.Its mesage is universal;its lyrics transcend all earthly barriers;its music touches the heavens.

The idea that successful people depend on their hard work,not the luck,has never appealed to me.Such is human nature that if someone expects to be successful,he or she will have to do his or her best to work and study.The problem,however,is that luck is unuseful at all.I have to say I entirely refute it.There is no doubt that the sentence,”Never say die”,from my perspective,it is forever telling us that no matter what frustrations and hazards we supper within our life,we can boldly beat them and go over to success.Meanwhile,we can never be successful without luck.

In the first place,as one of TOEFL learners,I really urge I can reach the full-mark in the examination.It is,nevertheless,obvious that acquiring full-mark,in some sense,is an impossible task.If someone makes it come ture,I ascertain that every person who is studying TOEFL will have to say he or she must be frantical,at this thing is going,we never disagree that the witness has proved,the person who get full-mark,must study far harder than others.In addition,if there is not luck with him of her,the outcome will be another now.That’s to say,it is extremely essential for the person that when he or she is in the examination,sometimes it is luck which does his of her a favor.

Finally,why some people who are regarding luck as nothing people succeed is beyond me.I am wondering if someone will be successful without luck,for luck is a significant part of the forms of successful factors.On the contrary,if people invariably consider he or she can be successful just because luck.As a result,the whole human beings are losers all over the world.Luck is important,but hard work may bring luck.Therefore,no luck should not be an excuse to failure.It has always been a mystery to me that luck has nothing to do with success.

In human’s early days,competeition with others has been critical.Untill now,competiton between ourselves,person against person,community against community,still persists,however,and it is as fierce as it ever was.If someone fails to work hard or study hard,in the modern life,it is next to impossible for him or her to catch up with others who are doing their best to chase their dreams.Currently,it seems that less and less students grast the importance of studying,especially the theories that existed in books.It is obvious that students who complete their tasks individually can get better grades than the ones who contempt homework.

First of all,it is a good way for students to obsorb the knowledge that they study at school,through doing homework.If not,maybe they will feel anguished when they get up next morning for they have almost forget the entire ken they studied.Now that study is a sort of process,systematical repetition is a vital mechanism during study.Students can master the knowledge and study more effectively by dong tasks.

Additionally,it is a good way for students to obsorb the knowledge that they study at school,through doning homework.If not,maybe they will feel anguished when they get up next morning for they have almost forget the entire ken they studied.For instance,it is possible for students to grasp the knowledge when they are in their school,most likely inasmuch as the teachers’help.As most young students,however,it is impossible to study when they come back home.Currently,as is known to all,students’parents are too busy to administer their children to study,under this circumstance,students may choose to watch TV,play computer games,listen stero and so on so forth.Due to students lack the ability of self-control,therefore,it is necessary to do assignments for them.

Furthermore,Students suppose it makes a negative effect as teachers assign too many tasks every day so that students feel boring, gradually,they become weary of studying.Advantage,nevertheless,is forever more than disadvantage,and if this is rightly chosen,if it is really attended by the illumination of homework,inch by inch,and often fairly swiftly,students will enjoy the process of carrying out the assignment.

It has been more and more important that how a child can be sucessful in school. So whether classmates influence more profoundly than parents is an intriguing topic.Most likely inasmuch as it is not a simple problem for a multitude of people hold different ideas due to their distinct experinces and backgrouds.It is controversial to argue that classmates only have adverse effects on a child.There are a host of persuasive reasons,now I I will explore a few of crucial ones in details.

First of all, no issue is more important than the one refers to academic performance. Facts witness and present a massive number of examples. If a child fails to one examination,he or she will feel extremely mournful and unconfident. At that moment, he or she will receive confidence and feel happy again,as long as he or she attain his or her classmates’courage. In my memory,I got a very low-mark in one of my mid exams, at that time I almost have lost any confidence to go on studying. Fortunately, one of my classmates told me that it was common for students to fail to several exams, the most important is whether we could beat the frustration that we were facing and stick it out. I regard this one as the most direct example to demonstrate my view.

In the second place, as no doubt, it is necessary for students to erect their capability of cooperation. For instance, students will know the importance of helping each other. And how important he or she is in a collectivity through some sports matches. I still remembered that when I was in middle school, how my class won a basketball competition.It depended on everyone’s effort of my class. If I lost the ball, it was next to impossible for others to blame me. It was manifest that we would be defeated without cooperation.

In addition, superior as classmates are, as a matter of fact, it is the other way around, there is no denying that classmates might cause some demerits. To give a demonstration, if the relationship between classmates is very unfavorable, it is possible for them to do some impolite behavīors, such as fighting, making spiteful remarks about others and so forth. Nevertheless,the advantages of classmates’influence carry more weight than that of disadvantages.

In conclusion, children are more likely to allow themselves to be influenced by their classmates than parents. In respect that some children suppose their classmates’views are more modern and their parents are too traditional.

In all one’s lifetime it is oneself that one spends the most time being with or dealing with. But it is precisely oneself that one has the least understanding of. When you are going upwards in life you tend to overestimate yourself. When you are going downhill you tend to underestimate yourself. It’s likely that you think it wise for yourself to know your place and stay aloof from worldly wearing a mask of cowardice, behind which the flow of sap in your life will be retarded.

To get a thorough understanding of oneself is to gain a correct view of oneself and be a sober realist—aware of both one’s strength and shortage. You may look forward hopefully to the future but be sure not to expect too much, for ideals can never be fully realized. You may be courageous to meet challenges but it should be clear to you where to direct your efforts.

To get a thorough understanding of oneself needs self-appreciation. Whether you liken yourself to a towering tree or a blade of grass, whether you think you are a high mountain or a small stone, you represent a state of nature that has its own reason of existence. If you earnestly admire yourself you’ll have a real sense of self-appreciation, which will give you confidence. As soon as you gain full confidence in yourself you’ll be enabled to fight and overcome any adversity.

To get a thorough understanding of oneself also requires doing oneself a favor when it’s needed. In time of anger, do yourself a favor by giving vent to it in a quiet place so that you won’t be hurt by its flames; in time of sadness, do yourself a favor by sharing it with your friends so as to change a gloomy mood into a cheerful one; in time of tiredness, do yourself a favor by getting a good sleep or taking some tonic. Show yourself loving concern about your health and daily life. Unless you know perfectly well when and how to do yourself a favor, you won’t be confident and ready enough to resist the attack of illness.

To get a thorough understanding of oneself is to get a full control of one’s life. Then one will find one’s life full of color and flavor
