Inner Beauty

Concerning beauty, opinions vary from individual to individual. For some, it is certain facial features. They define beauty as the symmetry of features, harmony of proportion, clarity of skin, and vivid, healthy coloring. Yet for others, the concept of beauty is something inside, resonating with a person’s thoughts, feelings, actions and overall character.
As to me myself, I quite agree with the latter opinion that inner beauty is the real beauty of a person.
First, physical beauty is transient but inner beauty stays forever. Anything physical is substantial. With age, everything will fade, so will the physical appearance. When we see some one who is quite appealing in his outer appearance, we may instantly feel good about him. This doesn’t mean that he can impress us just by his good looks. However, when some one does something helpful to others, without considering his own benefits, he can truly leave a footprint on our heart. So, if you’re beautiful inside and fun loving then that’s probably the most important thing in a relationship as you get older. Beauty shrivels and fades while inner beauty radiates brighter and brighter.
Second, outer beauty can be built up through some technological means while it is inner beauty that can truly reflect the virtue of a person.
Outer beauty can be obtained by the cleanliness of one’s body. Through proper application of personal hygiene and proper daily cleansing, one can obtain at least a respectable image. With proper ointments and care, the individual can overcome these blemishes and blurs and obtain a halfway decent image. Further more, one can achieve the physical beauty by plastic surgery.
Inner beauty, on the other hand, can only be obtained gradually. It is something gradually comes into being from our childhood through all kinds of ways. It‘s the backbone of one’s character and the root of one’s personality. Although outer beauty can be altered to a certain extent, inner beauty can never be altered, for it is the very soul of the human being. It can truly reflect the virtue of a certain individual.
Some people may ague that when we see some one for the first time, we can never avoid judging him from his appearance. So the outer beauty is more important.
I think this opinion is not reasonable, since it is inner beauty that can really keep up the relationship for a long time.
To sum up, the inner beauty is the true value of an individual and we should regard inner beauty as the real beauty.
