Revolutionary movement for women—the rights to secure education

We are quite lucky to live in an age where we are freely accessible to education and granted the chance of securing a higher education same as men if we want. However, during the late 19th,what we now take for granted was a big dream for women living in that age. After reading the history of women’s fighting for an education,I am now holding plenty of gratitude for the appreciate work they have done. For,without them, the adovators of feminisim,we probably are still living with little respect and bestowed with little rights in various areas.

According to the article:the women who went to university before the second world war faced formidable obstacles: ridiculed by fellow students, refused teaching by some lecturers, denounced in newspaper editorials and often pulled out of study unceremoniously because of problems at home. Most had to overcome scrappy early education, consisting at best of oddities imparted by governesses who rarely knew much themselves. “Of all the arithmetic I learned,” said Constance Maynard, one of the earliest women students in residence in Cambridge, “I can call to mind only one single rule, and it ran thus: ‘Turn the fraction upside-down and carry on as before.’” A fellow student could recall being taught nothing more profound than when black silk stockings were first worn in England and what to do in a thunderstorm at night.

And that was the case in England,a much more industralized country comparied with China at that time.Though the article does mention the the situation in China,it’s quite predictable that things for women could be worse at least could be no better.

The development of history is propelled by a group of pioneers. Thus the generation of the first women who firghting for education are group of pioneers as they propel the development of human, not only for women.

Unity and Diversity

People as our nation are never isolated individuas. We all live in a united country where coexists different customs, belifs, dialects and races.Unity and diversity tipically to be regarded as fire and water at first sight finally coexit peacefully. How?

In our dormitory,we eight are from different parts.Take me for example.I’m from Jiangsu,a far-away province. It is very true that from character to havits we do have some differences. So there surely exists some conflicts. When it is your sleeping time, others are still energetically talking or even laughing. You stumble around the dinning room but find find none fits your taste. Now please suppose that in those cases my endurance goes beyond its limitation and I was aggressive with everything around me.worse still so many years we have unwillingly witnessed and experienced so many suffferings in terms of misunderstanding and thus more conflicts between different races or nations –just out different colours or cultural backgrounds. So many examples have projected a map of blacks painstaking crying again and againNow it is really the time for us to take this seriously and make some changes accordingly.

But how?If we take respect and understanding as a solution to this colorful diverstity of this real worls, everything will take a favorable turn.Students from other provinces won’t just complain about abrupt changes, instead they will make some necessary adjustments and to be fully involved, and they have learned to respect and understand the diversity.Racial discrimination then won’t prevail or even exit once people have grown to respect and understand the pricinple of diversity.People all round the world finally will be united into a harmounious whole based on mutual understandings and respect.

Therefore, through respect and understanding we can really get more insights into another culture and thus gain more access to better mutual understanding before we all become a unity without misunderstanding, discrimination and conflicts.
